- Three Year Project

- Serve up to 50 teachers in the ENDLC service area
- Elementary and Secondary teachers
- Must be responsible for teaching American
History
- Application process including administrative
recommendation
- Year 1 - Lewis and Clark
- Year 2 - Native Americans
- Year 3 - Platte River - Mormon and Oregon Trails
- Spring Workshops
- 2 days - sub pay available
- 1 day - on a Saturday - stipend
- Summer graduate level class
- 5-10 days in the summer
- travel to historic locations included
- Graduate level course work
- Stipends to be paid to participants
- Fall workshops
- 1 day - sub pay available
- 1 day - on a Saturday - stipend
- Create and post on-line lessons
- Assist in the creation of on-line college level course
through Wayne State College
- Materials including books, videos, and teaching aids to
be purchased by the grant.
- All travel expenses paid by the grant
- Workshops and graduate level courses to be taught by
History experts - additional speakers and guests will be included
in training
