Our class has been watching parts of the Ken Burns film and we
stop at every heading to write and draw. Students are asked
to take notes while watching the film, reflect on the questions I
have provided for them, and then to draw a picture illustrating
what they have taken notes over or reflected upon. I attached
some extra info and coloring pages (from the books given to us by
Westward Waters) in the back of the handouts. My students
really like this activity. I'm turning into a "Hal"
I have to add little tidbits whenever I can. These pictures
show a couple of my students writing in their journals.
