Saturday, September 25th was our fall Westward Waters workshop.
We said good bye to year two and hello to year three as we
met at the beautiful DeSoto Bend National Wildlife Refuge.
The group was given the opportunity to tour the museum and
watch a brief film on the Bertrand Steamboat. Upcoming
workshop dates, activities, and travel plans were unveiled and year
three's syllabus and reading materials were handed out and
discussed in detail. Everyone's continued involvement and
enthusiasm is greatly appreciated!
It seems almost beyond comprehension that we are entering year 3
of this project. So much has happened and so many things have
been accomplished. We have been working very hard with our
history partners to ensure that our final year together will once
again stretch our limits and move all of us to a higher level of
knowledge and personal growth. Hold on to your hats and
bonnets, people, we're in for another adventure!
